Keeping Busy

I've been confined to my house for a little over 2 weeks now. As a result, I've developed a very productive relationship with my yarn and hooks. This could become a great investment of time for the upcoming Craft Fairs. :)

There is one downside of having so much free time...pattern searching. I admit I am now addicted to Ravelry. You can find everything there (free or paid), I love it!!!

Enough chatter, here's some pictures.

Happy Crafting!

Baby, baby, oh baby

Everyone is pregnant! There have been baby showers every weekend since mid September and it doesn't stop until mid November.

As such, my hooks have been flying. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Happy Hooking!!! :)

Introducing Fay

the sweater I just knew was a must make. I'm using Red Heart, Coffee Fleck. This is my first plus size garment. While I considered making a smaller size, truth is I might want this sweater for self. There's a couple more of these "selfish" type of projects on the to do list. I figure if I must spend cash on the children, I can make myself some new things. You know freshen up my wardrobe. :)

I also started the corner granny afghan for a customer. I'm using Red Heart, Shaded Browns. Keeping my fingers crossed that it comes out gorgeous.

What did you craft today???

Until next time. Happy crafting!

Weekend Enjoyment

This weekend I was home bound. This is not a bad thing...I accomplished a whole lot. I organized my projects, patterns and even my yarn. The I crocheted. I even ended the weekend baking some Red Velvet crinkle cookies with my lil princess. All in all, I had a great relaxing weekend.

As I was organizing patterns, I started pulling patterns for this year's annual Craft Fair. In addition the vending at the annual fair, I'm also doing a very large event on Dec 9th at a huge hotel. I nervous but excited about the possibilities the opportunity will bring. I am still looking for quick work patterns so please feel free to leave a comment with your suggestions.

Here's a few pics from this weekends work. Enjoy and keep hooking.

Been Gone for Awhile...

but like many of my other blog friends, I'm back!!! Things have been busy in these parts.

Kid 1 - started 8th grade and apparently "dating" begins now
Kid 2 started 1st grade at a new school (the same one I went to as a child) and is loving it
DF (engaged on Sept 11th)...is now a full-time barber. New career path and I'm supporting him on all fronts.

and ME...
I started my new job as a Staff Assistant this summer and what can I say, I'm back in my element. I also have started selling my crocheted products. I just committed to be a vendor on December 9th which means I have lots of crocheting to tackle. Not to worry, I'm on it. Picked up yarn today, decided what patterns I will make and started working on one. :)

I am also in the middle of crocheting baby items for one of my favorite cousins who is due on New Year's Eve. I am so excited for her and her husband.

There's the quick update. Expect to see a craft related post by the end of the day tomorrow...

Happy Crafting!!!

Oh How...

I've missed thee. This has been my worst blog year and I'm not sure why. Lots of great things happened during the year.

For starters, I completed year one on my job as an Family Community Outreach Coordinator, which was a blessing from above. I had many run-ins with my boss and often considered walking away BUT I didn't and I am prettier glad I didn't. I really do love all of the kids I work with. My goal for the start of the school year was to purposely reach out to the Family part of my title. To date, more families are involved just not as many as I would like.

I spent the summer moving in with the Mr., getting settled in, and enjoying my children. This was the rainiest summer ever. Every time we wanted to go to the beach it was raining or we didn't have gas in the car or money to spend. We made it a few times but not many. On one of the visits, the seagulls owned the beach and I was ready to go right after we settled in. The kids enjoyed themselves.

In September, the Mr finally proposed (after 8 year...lol). I was surprised and very excited. He did a great job not telling me when it was going to happen which is hard because I'm one of those need to know everything type of females. I'm glad I didn't know. :)

On the crafting front, I have been a busy bee. I have loads of pictures of completed projects and will most likely post some while enjoying Christmas Break (4 days away). I can say I am truly looking forward to spending some time with my family (both sides). Good times ahead.

Looking forward to catching up with all of my blog favs...

Happy Holidays to you all!!!

WOW

It sure has been a long time since my last post. Now that I am making time for my crafting, I will make time for my very sorry blog. Not to worry, I've been crocheting like a crazy woman. Plenty of pictures to come. :)

I have lots of updates, however I can't do that now...I must fix this layout! Let's see how fast I can do that...

Enjoy your day or night.

Happy Hooking
