I think this is beautiful.

Crochet Update
Okay so enough abot the trip and back to crafting. Here are two of the current WIP. I think they are coming along nicely. I am hoping to have the personalized afghan ready by next week (it was only requested in November...yeah I know LATE).

Broomstick Stitch Scarf

Personalized Afghan for Gail

Z's First Fashion Show
Since I was dressing her for each scene, I couldn't take pictures of her walking so, I snapped two backstage. Her dad video taped it and Nene took a few pictures (maybe I'll get those up).

Relaxation
Sunday while I was relaxing (yes, I had time to relax) my sister snapped these pictures. Can't you tell I am in my glory???

I'm Still Here

I know it's been a month (I still can't believe it) since my last post. I've wanted to write but I just couldn't find the time. February was a very eventful month for me. It all started the week of Valentine's Day.

As many of you know, my little sister (18) is graduating from high school in a few months and apparently, February/March are months that incoming freshman begin orientations, tours, assesments, etc. Well, she was accepted at Kean College (Union, New Jersey) and she had to be there on February 17th. Being the devoted sister that I am, I had to go with her. What? I can't send my baby off to some unknown land alone. I had to be there. :) So, I reserved a hotel room, found some friends to provide some directions, rented a car (Nana really rented it), and off we went (we being mom, Adriana, Twin, and me). Let me pause to thank my wonderful big sisters (Roni and Renee). We also inherited some new family members once we reached Union (Heather and her family). Heather gave us a quick tour of the campus (she graduated from Kean), she showed us around town, and then took us to the hotel. Sidenote: New Jersey driving is crazy. By the way, I made it to NJ in 2 1/2 hours...I know, I know I need to slow down. Trust me, I learned this lesson on my way home. Moving on.

Since Union is so close to New York, we just had to go. We attempted to take the NJ Transit but we missed the train. Oh well, back in the car we went. Thank godness for navigation systems. We drove into Manhattan, parked, walked around, got a parking ticket, drove to the Lion Brand Store (it was a must see as far as I was concerned...thanks Christina), and then we found a parking garage, and walked to Times Square. We had a great time and there are pictures to prove it. (Don't worry, I will post some.) We visited the school on Tuesday and drove around Union. Tuesday evening we drove to Orange, NJ for dinner with more family. We came back to the hotel, packed and went to bed. Wednesday we drove home. I have no idea what happened to the rest of the week. I did crochet a little but not enough to feel good about.

Last week, I made up for my lack of crocheting. I started a personalized afghan that one of my aunts requested around Christmas time (yes, I know I am behind but I am working on it). I also started a broomstick stitch scarf for myself, I picked up yarn for a mustard colored sweater vest/wrap for myself. By the way, I admitted that I have an addiction for yarn and vowed to stop buying it just because. Let's see how far that gets me. This past weekend, I made a vest and cap for a baby boy. It came out rather cute, if I must say so. (I will post pictures later this evening.)

This past Saturday, Zaria participated in her first fashion show. She did a great job to be such a little person. She stopped whenever she saw a camera pointed in her direction. Her daddy loved it (video camera and all). He's so cute. We then went out for dinner as a family. It was great!!!

So, that's what's been going on with me. What's going on with you all?
