Holiday Projects

Hello fellow bloggers...
I have been steadily working on Christmas gifts for family and friends (and some orders) and wanted to see what type of things people are gifting these days. This weekend, I need to crochet some items (10) to donate to my son's school. They have a Holly Fair every year. The gym is set up like Santa's Workshop (including elves) and the students come down to shop for gifts for their family members. Last year I made scarves. Oh yeah...there is usually an age group and gender assigned to each class for donations. This year, we have teen boys/girls so I am wondering...do I just make some fun colored hats? Feedback will be very appreciated.

The Sweet Smell of Success

Over the weekend, I was a vendor in my first ever Craft Fair. That's right people...I sold my wears and cleared a little over $200. I have been crocheting for about 10 years now and I have never sold anything. Now I am motivated to crochet and sell my items (for a reasonable price). I had hats and scarves and the only things that sold were the hats. I am not sure why the scarves didn't sell (we do live in New England and it does get extremely cold). I am planning on putting together a document with pictures of the items that did not sell (including prices) and emailing it out to all of my email buddies. Who knows maybe I'll get a few more sales. I committed to having a table again next year. I'll work on display sets, decorations, and a mirror (definitely need a mirror) for next year.

Onto Christmas gifts...

HISTORY

Good Day Fellow Bloggers...

I am so happy today. Last night as the announcement of the 44th president was being made, I cried. Why? It became "REAL" to me. Yes, I watched the debates. Yes, I listened to all of the reports, Yes, I voted (and took Zaria with me). BUT, I just knew there would be a repeat of the last election. Well, I'm glad there wasn't. I am glad that this country put aside the color of someone's skin and chose the person who could change the way things have been.

I sent a text message out to all of my friends saying, "Only God would've have known." God has ordered this man's steps and I trust that God will give him the strength, direction and protection that he will need.

I am also happy that I can tell my son that if he works hard and lives a good life, he too could one day be president. Yes, we could've said this before, but now he can see it and believe it.

I leave you all with another text that I received last week and a picture...
